It’s a feeling that haunts us in the dead of the night, in the early hours of the morning, in the emptiness of large urban spaces, and even sometimes within groups of people:
The feeling that something is missing.
The yearning for deep connection.

Spiritual Wanderer Course:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐ "I started the Spiritual Wanderers Course a short while ago and for the first time in twelve years I have started to experience love, acceptance and compassion for myself and within myself. Thank you so much." – Vivienne S.
The craving to fill the inner void.
I used to experience this feeling a lot growing up. I think it was the worst around other people, especially in situations where everyone was meant to feel joyful and happy, like birthdays or festive celebrations.
I don’t know if you experience that hollowness – this craving for something you can’t quite name – but if you do, please know you’re not alone.
In recent years, I’ve come to realize that this feeling that something is missing from life comes from feeling separated and disconnected.
“Separated from what?” you might wonder.
When you go to the root of this feeling, you see that it traces back to being separated from love. This is the essence of Soul Loss, of dissociation, of the Dark Night of the Soul.
Sure, that may sound corny. But I can assure you that it’s not.
The wound of separation appears in all of us to varying degrees.

Shadow & Light Membership:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐ "Receiving these messages is a beacon of light and hope for me in currently very challenging times. The words of wisdom speak right to my soul, guiding and encouraging me further on my path. I highly recommend Shadow & Light to everyone who seeks to develop and cultivate a relationship with the Inner Self." – Karin
For some of us, it comes through feeling invisible; for others, it comes through abandonment, betrayal, abuse, or neglect.
Sometimes the wound of separation just appears as feeling “not good enough,” “not made for this world,” or “like a loser who can’t fit in anywhere.”
If you’ve experienced a spiritual awakening or any type of transcendent glimpse into the deeper layers of reality, you’ll see what mystics have said since the dawn of time:
Our true nature is love.
Not eros (romantic) love, not philia (friendship) love, not storge (parental) love, but agape (unconditional love).
It’s a love that goes beyond the ego and one that unites us with all that is.
It’s a love that is open, curious, accepting, and compassionate – a love that is the essence of the Soul.
When I tap into that love through silence, stillness, nature immersion, and other means, I see that this is all that I’m searching for deep down.
The sense of emptiness, the sense that something is missing from my life, all trace back to that wound of disconnection from love.
Would you like to save this?
Your information will never be shared.
I’m writing this as a reminder today. I wanted to keep this message simple.
Place a hand over your heart and invite your Deep Self to emerge. Ask it, “How can I return to love?” and wait for a response. This is one of the simplest forms of Ensoulment possible.
I think you’ll find the answer immensely illuminating.
That’s it for now.
With agape ♡

Agape.
A gap—between who I am
and who I thought I had to be.
Agape—jaw dropped in awe,
as I re-turn inward
to what was never truly lost.
An ape—my primal self,
not primitive, but sacred.
Carrying the memory of love
through the evolutionary ache.
Agape is not missing.
It is the wild, the wiser,
the wounds and the wonder—
reunited within.
And within the re-turn, again and again,
there is an urn—
where we recognise love is not something we earn.
We are the urn of soul love.
Not hollow, or empty,
Not a space to be filled,
Just space,
To breathe,
To be,
To feel,
And to give.
As we love
and as we live.
Thank you so much for sharing this raw and deep poetry here, Amanda 💜
Holy cow Amanda! That was powerful.
Thank you so much for sharing your poem. So precious. :)
Thank you and your welcome, I love words and sharing.
This….I have never heard it explained more succinctly—a deep feeling of validation. I felt a physical “sigh” from my body. Finally, I finally understand. Thank you for this, Luna and Soul.
It is an honor to hear this, Sooz 🤗
This hit hard. I cried. I’ve felt this ALL my life, sadness & loneliness deep inside of me. When I asked I felt ‘self love & acceptance’
What a beautiful response, Helen. Please take these words and deeply internalize them 🕯️
First of all, I want to thank you with full of my heart for your real, lovingly insisting support for all aspects of our lives. Agape perhaps is the truest word to comply with the creation itself. The source, the essence, the omnipotance of all. Thank you for reminding us our true essence which we sometimes think of it’s lack or hesitate to feel for ourselves or for others. That is beyond of lack, abundant and ready for giving and receiving in every moment. Blessed it be.
I appreciate you sharing these insightful and heartfelt words, Nermin 💜
I resonate with this 100%. However, when I place my hand on my heart and ask the question, I get nothing. I’ve spent some time here and still nothing. I will revisit, but any advice?
It’s normal for that to happen, Darcy, especially if you’ve been disconnected from the heart space for a long time. Sometimes the mind is busy or the body is tired. Sometimes we’re in a busy or unsafe place or we’re simply out of the habit of deep inner listening. Return to this again, maybe early in the morning or later in the evening when the mind is more settled. The response could come via words, images, or a ‘sense’ in your body. Be open to any of these forms of communication. With love 💜
I used to get that feeling a lot… A few years ago I started looking inward and then really took a deep dive inwards and started connecting to me and getting to know me and found out who I really am my likes and dislikes and what makes me tick was when that feeling disappeared… I covered a lot of ground examining myself and it’ll be a life long process… It has actually changed me into the person I wanted to be… Maybe it didn’t actually change me??? I think it opened the door for my true essence to come out…
Introspection and inward-looking definitely changes us as people, for the better. Keep looking inwards Mark :)
Agape as in unconditional love is common in my research and practice as an educator. Thanks for reminding me to be childlike in engaging with love, that is truly all-giving and all-receptive without any conditions
Thank you for validating this, Hussain 💜
Needed this today, thank you! I felt this separation most deeply in places where people were happy, like birthday parties. I would often feel more sad at celebrations, so I always thought there was something deeply wrong with me. I’m forever grateful for your work, you’ve helped heal so much.
You’re definitely not alone in feeling that way, Claire. Thank you for sharing these kind words 💜
Could you update your website? It does not show the newest quizzes. When i click on tests it only shows me old ones
Could you please contact support, Hey? Explaining the issue in a direct email can help us fix it. I’m not sure what you mean about clicking on tests that only show you old ones. Here’s the link to support: https://lonerwolf.com/contact/
