In the deep, dark, depths of your psyche, what are you terrified of the most?
Almost everyone is scared of something (and if you believe you aren’t, please click off this page right now). Fears are normal, and having them is part of being human.
Your biggest fear is the thing in life you are the most terrified about, and likely possess phobias about or have nightmares concerning.
This test is designed partly as a fun form of self-insight, but also as a way to gain clarity. The more knowledge you have about yourself the better, right? :) You might carry uninvestigated assumptions about what your biggest fear is, and discover something quite different in this test. The only way you can find out is by taking it!
The five different fear profiles featured in this test were classified by Dr. Karl Albrecht. As Albrecht wisely noted:
When we let go of our notion of fear as the welling up of evil forces within us … and begin to see fear and its companion emotions as basically information, we can think about them consciously. And the more clearly and calmly we can articulate the origins of the fear, the less our fears will frighten us and control us.
I also love this quote by Eleanor Roosevelt, which I hope inspires you as well:
You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing which you think you cannot do.
So what is your biggest fear? Take this quick test and if you dare, post your answer in the comments!

I got fear of death, which is actually my fear, really. I was surprised how accurate it actually was, so great work on that
I got “fear of physical harm” (boundary violations). I also think added to that is fear of betrayal and abandonment, which is deep for me.
I think thy are connected in some way as the harming of our emotional, mental and physical selves whether though incoming violations or losses out of our control.
This makes sense given I was raised by a covert/vulnerable narcissistic mother who never respected any of my boundaries (all types) and got away with it.
So now I am walking this path of healing from that hoping to find supports and connections along the way who understand. This test really helped put my fears into perspective. Thanks guys!
Your articles are easy to understand, also making it easy to share with others who may be new to certain spiritual topics.
The quizzes are also created so well. It’s not just random vague questions, but really created to analyze the mind and feel your true response/answer.
Appreciate the work you do!
Fear of physical pain, very true.
My first thought when I read, “walking alone at night” was getting kidnapped and abused physically……and surviving it with permanent marks of it……..haha, it is scaring me to death.
Very helpful site. I am a Spanish beginners and I will definitely recommend your blog.
I got Ego- Death.
how can we love and purify our fears? like this one. it may trigger a wound.
Fear of Separation is what I got
Fear of unjustified, which I am actually.. I mean we are :^). I (a good person) just don’t deserve this . Hope I’ll make it someday, an universe ruled by PURITY (justification)
I do not resonate with any of these questions. I don’t know what my fear is.
It’s hard to rationalize deep rooted fears, but i may have a fear of abandonment and at the same time i just want to be as free as i can, it’s really paradoxical. Sometimes i envision myself as a homeless person. I’m also emotionally detached / unavailable most of the times as if living on the sidelines of life.
