This free personality test was inspired by the original works of psychiatrist Carl Jung and later the temperament test system created by Katharine Briggs and Isabel Myers known as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI test®).

The typology system used in both the MBTI test® and this Jung personality test is defined by eight main differences between people:

  • How they focus their attention or get their energy (extraversion or introversion)
  • How they perceive or take in information (sensing or intuition)
  • How they prefer to make decisions (thinking or feeling)
  • How they orient themselves to the external world (judgment or perception)

When these elements are combined, there are 16 unique personality types that define our behaviors, skills, and attitudes towards life.

Each of the 16 personalities has its own potential strengths as well as areas that offer opportunities for growth.

It’s also possible for your personality type to change throughout time as you grow and mature along with your experiences.

Take our free temperament test to discover your unique personality type.

Please note that this free personality test was created for fun only and is inspired by Jung’s work and the original MBTI test®.

However, of every free personality test online, you’ll find this one to be refreshingly short and simple!

  1. ISTP… I literally laughed out loud when the first thing under how an ISTP shows how they care is ‘shows up’. Yep if I make an effort to turn up you know I actually care to be there. I’m quite thoroughly an ISTP for sure and it feels weird being called out on some of the things you do.

    • Personality types are not fixed, even Jung (the originator of this typology) thought so. We all flux in different parts of our life, even different parts of the same day (I’m extroverted with some people yet Introverted with others).

      • I was always an INFP and as I got older became and INFX. Right smack dab in the middle of the J and the P. Not sure if that is good or bad…Any thoughts?

        • Thanks Sarah. There’s no good or bad types, just different types for different purposes. Judging is good for certain roles like critical thought, analyzing, strategy, etc while Perceiving may be better for more artistic pursuits to see things ‘as they are’ rather than ‘could be’ (judger).

  2. Greetings Everyone !!!
I got the INFP outcome. I love my solitude and I tend to answer some peoples questions or share an opinion with a riddle or non-sense philosophy based structure. I guess that’s why a professional psychic with 30 years experience called
me a mystic. I do my best to serve others and put their needs above my own which
is my top priority. Others first…… than me. I seek truth in all things and I question all beliefs that I encounter before diving in and going in deep into the deepest and darkest fathoms of the pool. I prefer to listen, rather then speak and speak very little or sometimes not at all. I have found that my silence can speak louder volumes and I learn better in my silence and silence is just another word to describe my brokenness and pain. “Enough philosophy Luke” haha xD
I would make an excellent poet hehe Great test by the way
Thanks Luna and Sol…….. Namaste <3
    Signed Luke

  3. Lol….strange for the first time It changed from INFP to ENFP which also describes me. It seems to depend on which side of myself I resonate with.

  4. Okay, hold up, the very first time I took a test I came up INFJ-A, then INFP then back again then stayed INFP-T, only got ISFJ-T once long ago. Now it says INTJ here… Weird I don’t think that is right Then again I guess I’m not self aware enough or was in different moods at the time. Fun though.
