Archetypes
In psychoanalysis, archetypes refer to ancient mental images that we have inherited from our ancestors. Spiritually, archetypes are essentially soul images that help us to discover our inner needs, desires, gifts, traumas and life purpose. Archetypes are often manifested in our dreams, as well as during meditation and shamanic rituals.
