This free personality test was inspired by the original works of psychiatrist Carl Jung and later the temperament test system created by Katharine Briggs and Isabel Myers known as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI test®).

The typology system used in both the MBTI test® and this Jung personality test is defined by eight main differences between people:

  • How they focus their attention or get their energy (extraversion or introversion)
  • How they perceive or take in information (sensing or intuition)
  • How they prefer to make decisions (thinking or feeling)
  • How they orient themselves to the external world (judgment or perception)

When these elements are combined, there are 16 unique personality types that define our behaviors, skills, and attitudes towards life.

Each of the 16 personalities has its own potential strengths as well as areas that offer opportunities for growth.

It’s also possible for your personality type to change throughout time as you grow and mature along with your experiences.

Take our free temperament test to discover your unique personality type.

Please note that this free personality test was created for fun only and is inspired by Jung’s work and the original MBTI test®.

However, of every free personality test online, you’ll find this one to be refreshingly short and simple!

  1. Other careers for INTPs: 1) Stand-up comedian. Why? Because of their high intelligence they are very witty and humorous and even though can be very private and introspective they don’t mind the spotlight and they love having their freedom of saying whatever they want, which is what stand-up is all about. 2)An Actor. Why? Because they are intuitive perceivers, these types of people are highly creative, expressive, adaptable improvisers, and also INTPs have a tendency to naturally get into a character in public so as to hide their true feelings to avoid responsibility and because they are very uncomfortable with their own emotions they tend to keep those private and put on a façade.

  3. I came across your page because I googled spiritual meanings behind car accidents. Today I totalled my car, the second one in the past 3 years. I’m a lone wolf can’t count on my childhood and unhealed relationships made before my “awakening”. I need new friends, a new place to live in, and trust in myself. I just took Jung’s personality assessment and turns out I’m an INFP, to my surprise all of my behaviors completely make sense now. Now, I have to phase my father who purchased both vehicles because I’ve allowed him to control my life. I need to liberate myself from my parents. I’m 29 and continue to sabotage myself. I can’t do this anymore. I know I’m on the right track, just need my tribe.

  4. I got ISFJ and although it’s almost exactly me the part of following tradition and rules is very wrong.
I’ve never followed tradition and I’ve always questioned authority and rules.

I don’t know which letter represents that attribute but I’m the opposite letter.

Which letter does it represent by the way?

I’ve been curious about this personality test since I learned of it and have taken it on various sites.
I’ve gotten INFJ twice and INTJ on another.
    ???

    • Well MBTI is more than just letters, there are also cogntive functions. INFJs have dominant function Ni (introverted intuition) and ISFJs Si (introverted sensing) and INFJs weakest function is Si (and vice versa). So from what you said, it looks like you’re an INFJ.

  5. Nope. Please make this longer so that it can yield more accurate results. Sincerely, a solid ENFJ (although close to the J/P center) who received an ESFP result. ;-)
