The spiritual awakening journey is about returning to the center of yourself. It is a homecoming to your Soul or True Nature.
But the spiritual awakening path is not linear. We do not move from point A to point B in a single straight line. Instead, we often move in spirals and concentric circles.
Contrary to its popular depiction, spiritual awakening isn’t like hiking up an ascending mountain – instead, it’s comparable to a journey taken through a series of rippling valleys.
These valleys contain benevolent guides and treasures, but also traps, monsters, and other perils.
We can go from feeling blissfully connected to devastated in the space of a few steps. But regardless of what you’re feeling, be assured that so long as you’re on this path, you are always learning. You are always growing. And you are moving ever-closer to the center of the mandala: your Eternal, Unchanging Self.
Spiritual Awakening Test
If you’ve read our previous spiritual awakening article, you’ll be familiar with the seven different stages of this path. The free spiritual awakening test below makes this knowledge experiential so that you can discover where you are at right now. Doing so will help you to gain your bearings, orient yourself, and know what to do next.
Be aware, however, that there are no “better” or “worse” stages. This isn’t a competition. Furthermore, it’s common to move backward and forward on the path.
Ultimately we’ve tried our best to define the indefinable. So be aware of the limitations of this test, while also seeing its value.
Finally, if you like this test, consider signing up to our free Spiritual Awakening course.
Hi Aletheia
Your website and work is wonderful. I did the test but received no feedback! Not sure why, or perhaps there is none.
It’s always interesting to test how far along the path we are.
Many thanks
Bless
Margeurita
Hey Margeurita, that’s weird, it’s most likely a localized issue as all the other comments seem to show it’s working for them.
Maybe try a different browser or device to bypass any filters/settings that may be locally affecting the test.
All the best.
After
Kundalini awakening…actually I didnt know it was kundalini…I just felt surge between my legs during chi gong practice(been practicing regularly for few months). So long story short I ended up i mental hospital, because I walked naked in my city during bright day…anyhow, I managed to keep some common sense in myself, still felt I was somewhere inside not completely lost, and what was happening to
Me was not normal… they were giving me tablets, but I threw them
Away luckily… after 1 week I was released… I am on my spiritual awakening already 2 years I think…give or take… I just wanted to say…I just love you guys so much! Cheers from Croatia!
I have always enjoyed the life journey. Good bad or indifferent. Life is a fascinating quest for what and to where I don’t know, but that really doesn’t matter to much I just want to see where it goes and how far I will get.
I have always had weird feelings different from others and get high anxiety and deja vu happens a lot with me. I truly want to either but it rest or embrace this gift 100%.
I feel I know what the outcome of this awakening is goin to be.
I’m already writing this story to help inspire the world
First thank you so much for this page. It has helped me understand what I’m going through a little more. However, I get this feeling in waves almost ? I’m not too sure how to describe it. I always feel like I’m doing something wrong & time is running out.. somedays I can handle the feeling other times its so strong it makes me shaky and week. Its not a scary feeling just a feeling of like, “hurry up girl! You’ve wasted enough time get right now!” Please tell me what you think.
Thank you Jessi for sharing. Awakening is nothing more than becoming more aware of reality. When these feelings come in waves, sometimes (though not always as it’s not this linear), some deeper part of us (we’d call the Soul) wants you to pay close attention and examine some aspect of yourself or your life. We have a couple of good articles on Journaling, especially ‘stream of consciousness’ style, which is a great way to allow those deeper parts to ‘speak’.
All the best :)
You said a mouth full. At 42yrs having experiences like you’ve described for as far as I can remember
I am so lost in life right now.
I’ve suffered much loss, disfunction, self-destruction, and many hours of lonely blind wandering over the past few years.
Reading and writing are only slightly helpful with my progress, and I’m afraid that I may be spending too much time trying to figure out what to use and what to disregard.
I know that a psychospiritual approach is right for me (I enjoy learning about psychological AND spiritual aspects of myself and others!), but I may be missing something important…
