The spiritual awakening journey is about returning to the center of yourself. It is a homecoming to your Soul or True Nature.
However, the spiritual awakening path is not linear. We don’t move from point A to point B in a single straight line. Instead, we often move in spirals and concentric circles.
Contrary to its popular depiction, spiritual awakening isn’t like hiking up an ascending mountain – instead, it’s comparable to a journey taken through a series of rippling valleys.
These valleys contain benevolent guides and treasures but also traps, monsters, and other perils.
We can go from feeling blissfully connected to devastated in the space of a few steps.
But regardless of what you’re feeling, be assured that so long as you’re on this path, you are always learning. You’re always growing.
And you are moving ever closer to the center of the mandala: your Eternal, Unchanging Self.
Spiritual Awakening Test
If you’ve read our previous spiritual wanderer’s journey page, you’ll be familiar with the different stages of this path.
The free spiritual awakening test below makes this knowledge experiential so that you can discover where you are right now. Doing so will help you to gain your bearings, orient yourself, and know what to do next.
Be aware, however, that there are no “better” or “worse” stages. This isn’t a competition. Furthermore, it’s common to move backward and forward on the path.
Ultimately, I’ve tried my best to define the indefinable. So be aware of the limitations of this test while also seeing its value.

I got the rebirth stage with the main archetype of the sage.
Thats kind of contradictory. A few weeks ago I did a test about the 7 femine archetypes and i changed from maiden/the sage at first to the mystic. So even the progress had some big improvements, i went a step back on the ladder of archetypes.
I Am not sure if its my devices and choice of internet browser or something else.
But it was quite difficult to see all the pictures of the test. Even the result and the wheel of the spiritual wanderer journey is not visible correctly. Different images are on top of each other.
I think there was a little glitch at some point with the test, but it should have been fixed by now. 💜
Got integration. Have spent the last 5 years almost completely in silence, stillness and seclusion. Meeting people as little as possible. No social media, no telephone, no tv, no pratice, no effort, no seeking – just using e-mail for practical reasons. Everything in the visible world is good and work out exactly the way it is meant to. “Performing” in accordance with the the body´s predetermined destiny (sometimes a little bit testing on body/mind-level) – and perception depends only on if “logging in” to ego-level, soul-level or to our True Nature (our only free will) but no words, thoughts, time, memory, intellect, experiences can explain – we can only BE IT – as we ALREADY ARE. The earthly travel (body´s road) is only a little part of Life and when we perceive from and as our True Nature we finally KNOW what the visible world really is. Indescribable !

I’m in the warrior stage apparently – much to my surprise! I sheepishly admit to choosing “Um…what spiritual practice?”
There was a time when I followed a regular practice of meditating, connecting with my merkaba, etc. Now my spiritual practice seems to be more along the lines of knitting, crocheting, connecting with the natural world (at the moment that consists of relocating migrating salamanders I come across to a treed area around a dugout because winter is coming), meditation now and then, walking, trying to live in the moment as often as I can remember and following a variety of spiritual guiders (such as yourselves – thank you so much for your help, btw!). It’s pretty hodge-podge. I have no idea what that actually means, but I often feel the wonder of existence and hope that I am contributing to the evolvement of a kinder, more gentle and loving future.

Thank you, Aletheia. I love the pictures and symbols. It was good to reflect in this way and it reinforces my sense of where I am on the journey through this life. Very recently, I drew out a couple of Medicine Cards as a catalyst for reflection, and they gave me a very similar feeling.

I don’t understand the spiritual path. Maybe, I am too disconnected from any of this, for it to affect me.
Not sure what you mean by this, Bert? It’s okay to feel a little lost though.
I question if I know what happiness is for me. I’m not sure if I have felt happiness in my life. Maybe I was never intended to be happy. Same with fun. I always seem disconnected from the outside, like I’m on the outside of the whole world, and not allowed to be part of it.
This feeling of dissociation would definitely be worth looking into more, Bert. It could be a result of trauma (soul loss). Wishing you joy 🐺
