I have been lost for a while and felt uneasy about a lot of things until now thanks to this website.
I love and appreciate your site but this is racist against my people. Gypsy is a slur against the Romani. Gypsy souls belong to Romani people and not to anyone else. It’s not Bohemian, it’s not cool, it’s not free-spirited. You wouldn’t claim the identity of a Native American or a Shaman of an African tribe so why do it to a Romani woman?
Did you know there are Spanish and Irish Gypsies as well? It is not JUST about Romani. You should not claim something of a culture that is not strictly theirs.
Perhaps each of you could explain your culture, that o f the practices/rituals of an Romanian Gypsy Woman also that of an Irish one. I do not believe lack of ignorance is to blame, maybe Pride, ego..does not justify nor tell the story of individual who commented. Allowing self righteous behavior only stated a point not, that being, constructive criticism may be something to work on, also neither of you educated the public, just drama. Lost an opportunity to Be Better! Thru your response by backing up your statement along with hers after a sincere question of cultural interest into her rebutal to your article was made…THIS leaves you personally, professionally, less we forget spiritually….thru radical acceptance (mindfully being in the moment, examining the event, understanding how, why, when also what took place…With this “new cognitive approach ” a more productive responce/reaction is a possibility. Her witnessing this improves said atittude…you manifest what frequency you engage…ride the tribe mostly bribed….its a good thing!! Btw my Ancient Ancestors are Scottish Gypsies…I’ve been calling myself the Granola Girl or the Closet Gypsy for as long as I can think….32 years, I’ve moved some 17x I loved moving, I’m finally found my home, not so much decorated, go thru furniture like others do socks, however I’m home, lakeside, steps from beach, water, quiet, good people, affordable..pray to my ancestors also my faith that it will be the death of me if I were to move. So, I believe….also represent….kindness makes you Beautiful you both, gypsy arent angry people, if anything they walk away

The travel for many years , who know where my soul have been ? I am from 2 countries and still don’t feel home , I have date a Romany gypsy and felt more home , do you know where our soul came from ? We are all as one , rasisme comes from , making a difference between humanity , how do you know how I feel ? I am a gypsy soul all my life , moved more than 20 times , 0 % of Romanian Blood , do I have to ignore the fact I am still travelling , I live in nature , I am freedom , who called your country Romania, isn’t the world 1 open place, isn’t the world for everyone?
