How Does the Enneagram Work?
The word ‘enneagram’ is composed of the two Greek words ennéa (meaning nine) and grámma (meaning something written). And that is the crux of the enneagram: it reveals the nature of the human personality by dividing it into nine different archetypes.
The interesting thing about the Enneagram is that it possesses a number of different facets that help us to identify:
(1) what we desire more than anything else,(2) what we value the most, (3) what tempts us the most, (4) what causes us the most fear, (5) what our biggest fault is, (6) what our greatest virtue is.

The 9 Enneagram Types
The nine Enneagram types include:

The Enneagram Typology was first conceptualized by the mystic Gurdjieff and developed further by Oscar Ichazo and psychiatrist Claudio Naranjo.

In his Enneagram book Facets of Unity, A. H. Almaas writes,
The … view of the Enneagram is that each ennea-type fixation is the expression of a limited mental perspective on reality, and that each of the nine egoic perspectives is the direct result of the loss or absence of the enlightened perception of one of the Holy Ideas … Working with the Enneagram as part of a larger spiritual work, however, leads to a much deeper realization of truth and thus, a freedom from personality patterns.

The Perfectionist Is what it says i believe… It Doesn’t say “you are this type”it just talks abiut learning the differences of each … And then it says # 1 the perfectionist with dessription … And then this section.
This is so weird. I got 5. but last time I took the test, I got 8.
Not sure what it means. But to me it means “Inconclusive”.
It’s actually quite common. When you look at the enneagram symbol overlaping with each of the types, type 5’s turn into type 8’s in their active states.
The Observer/Investigator. Ok. But I disagree with some of the traits. I don’t fear being useless or incapable. I don’t want to learn non-attachment, as I don’t agree that that is a virtue at all. And I don’t think I am not participating or being disconnected by being curious or highly imaginative.
I didn’t get a result. It said something about a perfectionist. I do have those tendencies. But was that the result?
Okay, I went back and read. That was the result. It was very accurate. I am very far from perfection or achieving it in any material way but I always do the very best I can. And I am always disappointed that I didn’t achieve perfection. I believe that God is in the details.
I am the type 2 giver. I put others above myself. Always.
Im a Type 2 (Giver). This is 100% me. I have been told in the past that I put others needs above my own. Some people even told me I was “too caring” at times. This quiz is so accurate!
