Many spiritual wanderers will experience a profound and breathtaking glimpse into their Soul and True Nature as Spirit incarnate at some point on the awakening journey. We can refer to this life-altering glimpse as having a mystical experience or ego death where we are blessed to see beyond the ego’s veil into 'Higher Consciousness.'

We might experience intense bliss, inner peace, unconditional love, deep insight, Oneness, Non-Dual awareness, and other paradigm shifts in consciousness (which are usually only temporarily tasted).

It's at this stage of the spiritual wanderer's journey that soul work, or learning how to open and surrender to the Soul's calling for Spiritual Union with the Divine, is needed. Soul work is the yin to inner work's yang, and while both are needed (inner work being crucial at the start of the path), soul work is particularly potent after we've had a direct experience of our True Nature.
